Montana State University Montana State University is the cornerstone of Bozeman’s Booming economy. Established in 1893, MSU has granted over 91,312 degrees in it’s 114 year history. With a total enrollment of 12,338 students in the fall semester of 2006, MSU causes a substantial impact on Bozeman’s local economy and community atmosphere. MSU enrollment is a mixture of full time and part time students. In 2006, 78% of their academic body were full time students, the remaining 22% are part time students.
